Let the REAL games begin

Posted in Ugly Report  by Joe Ugly

The 2008 Olympic games are over… now comes the real game. I don’t care where you stand on Politics, or if you never got involved in the political process before, you have to acknowledge that these are historic times in American Politics. And with these historic times if you’re still on the sidelines on whom you’re supporting for President… It’s game time baby… And it’s time to get in the game.

·         If you ever complain about any issue that affects your life, then it’s time to get in the game.

·         If you ever said or thought “Why vote? … Nothing ever changes”… It’s time to get in the game

·         If you ever said “Politics is just a big game”, then it’s time to get in the game.

·         If you’re not registered to vote; what are you waiting for? It’s time to get in the game.

·         If you’re registered to vote and you changed your address since the last election you should check your voting status with the voter registration office of the town you live in. Don’t foul-out the game on a technicality

According to the political polls, this Presidential election race is far from over. The game has just begun baby. Like everything else, Politics has its good and bad… So expect the GOOD and say fuck the BAD because it’s time to get in the game.

Yea-Mon! Jamaica they have a problem

Posted in Ugly Report  by Joe Ugly

On my show last Monday, I ask how long do you think it’s going to take Olympic officials to criticize Usain Bolt (the Jamaican Sprinter) for celebrating before he reached the finish line of the 100 meters race last Saturday? The answer is less than a week. Today Jacques Rogge (the president of the IOC – International Olympic Committee) said that Usain Bolt’s show-boating after he won the 100 and 200 meters races were disrespectful to the other runners. Then he went on to say that he thinks Bolt should have “shake hands, give a tap on the shoulder to the other ones immediately after the finish and not make gestures like the one he made in the 100 meters”.

FUCK-THAT!!! Let’s keep it UGLY people… I didn’t see or hear the President of the IOC publicly criticizing the judges of the Olympic female gymnastic events.  Now that shit was disrespectful… Where’s the interview on that blatant display of how to car-jack the Americans in the Olympics female gymnastic events Mr. IOC President? The judging of the female gymnastic events will always leave a tainted view of the entire Olympics for years to come.  Someone needs to tell whoever is shaking those judges’ hands or tapping them on the shoulders after they give their scores, to KNOCK IT OFF… That shit don’t look good

Usain Bolt is proud of his accomplishments in the Olympic Games; so why can’t he celebrate in his own way? If he wants to beat his chest and shout he’s number one then walk around the field barefoot, the man earned it.  Once again here’s another example of not seeing a blessing. What would have been more disrespectful to the other runners is if Bolt had kept going at full speed across the finish-line and made his competitors look like they just left the starting line.

THE LOSS OF GREATNESS

Posted in Ugly Report  by admin

Two weekends ago we lost two great individuals of our time. It took me a week to write about their passing because like many of us, although death is inevitable the death of these two individuals leaves us wondering why. I never got the opportunity to meet either of these brothers but to hear others that knew them speak of their lives; I’m left to believe that if you knew either of them you knew you had a real friend.

Statements like “Great Loss” and “Untimely Death” has also been use to describe their passing. Maybe that’s because Isaac Hayes & Bernie Mac were men that had the natural ability to connect with others. Or maybe they reached generations and cultures without loosing sight of who they were.

Some will always remember Isaac Hayes for dropping the line “THEY SAY THIS CAT SHAFT IS A BAD MOTHER…” in the theme song from Shaft, while others will remember him as the voice of Chef in South Park. Some will remember Bernie Mac for opening his comedy routine on Def Comedy Jam with “I AIN’T SCARED OF YOU MAU-FUCKAZ”, while others will remember him as “Uncle Bernie” on the Bernie Mac Show. Although they had two different styles they both used what they did best to connect with us. So whatever it is that reminds you of them, I’m quite sure the memory will be a good one.

I know we will always remember Bernie Mac as a “King of Comedy” and although Isaac Hayes never did a show (to my knowledge) with the “King Of” title, I don’t think anyone will disagree that he was a “King of Music”.  Rest in peace Isaac Hayes… Rest in peace Bernie Mac, I’ll always remember you both as Kings of Entertainment.

Keeping the Pimp game strong…

Posted in Ugly Report  by Joe Ugly

The political pimps of America were in their zone last week. On Monday John McCain offered-up his wife to be “Miss Buffalo-Chip” at the annual motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. Keep in mind we’re talking about a biker rally where the contestants of the “Miss Buffalo-Chip” pageant have to perform like they’re auditioning to be strippers. And he actually read his offer from a script, so that shit was planned.

And it didn’t stop there… by the end of the week the John turned-out to be the Pimp. Former Democratic Presidential candidate John Edwards finally decided to tell America (and rest of the world) that he was putting his pimp game down on a film producer back in ’06, and there are talks that he fathered a kid with her. But like a true pimp he’s not claiming to be the baby-daddy.

I can’t make this shit up people… Can you imagine the headlines if Barack Obama showed up at a Funk-Flex car show and remotely offered-up Michelle Obama to be a Car-Show Model? Or if he gets caught in a hotel at 2am with another woman and the woman has a kid that has some questioning if he’s the baby daddy? The media would be all over any of these stories like a pimp on his bottom-bitch that’s holding out. They damn sure wouldn’t have waited this long to cover the “other woman” story like they did for John Edwards. They would have tied Obama big-ears to the antenna of a TV News satellite truck till the general election was over.

Just think what a mess it would have been if John Edwards had won the Democratic Party nomination. Well lucky for the Democrats, the nomination goes to “No-Drama-Obama”. Well at least NO-DRAMA for now. Because you know someone already dug halfway to China looking for some drama on Obama.

Does it hurt to fill-up lately?

Posted in Ugly Report  by Joe Ugly

Are the days of the SUV over?  And if you still own one; does it hurt to full-up lately? I’ll bet it does. But the real question is; did high gas prices reduce the number of drive-bys in cities across America? Or did the tree-hugging, save the environment, GREEN badge flashing folks won back the suburbs? I guess if we look at it that way then it’s easier to pull up to the pump these days. From the city to the suburbs, you can see Expeditions, Escalades, Denalis, and the other popular “must have” big block V-8 engine SUVs of a couple years ago now parked with “For-Sale” signs in their windows. But who the hell are they trying to sell these SUVs to anyway?

I don’t care how much these big-block SUVs are pimped out -When you pump $60 and the gas gage is just above half of the tank, that’s enough to make anyone rethink if they want to even turn the damn engine on. No wonder Exxon Mobil keeps posting record profits. I keep seeing reports that oil prices are dropping but at $4.00 or even $3.90 a gallon you’ll need a damn bank loan if you have to keep fulling-up. Don’t even think about taking a ride because you just washed your whip - At least not alone. Here’s a word that’s getting a lot of play lately… Commute. That’s right, high gas prices have commuting on the up baby. I’ll bet you stop laughing at 20 Latinos in a compact…

SUV sales took such a big hit, Ford & General Motors are cutting back production, if not shutting down the plants that makes them. But let’s keep it UGLY people… Did we really have to wait for gas prices to sky rocket before we parked these gas guzzling tanks? I don’t get it; If you don’t have a lot of shit to haul, why the big-ass SUV? These things have been sucking up the fuel supply for almost 20 years. We didn’t need high fuel prices to know it’s time to park them.

Don’t get it twisted; I don’t have a problem with people that drive big-ass SUVs… I have a problem with people that drive big-ass SUVs real slow in front of me because they trying to save gas. Look, if you have to drive like you’re driving Miss Daisy just to save gas, it’s time to put it in park, and leave it in park. I know it’s expensive to drive “any” vehicle lately, but to paraphrase comedian Katt Williams; you shouldn’t have to make life decisions at the pump. Decisions like, if you’re going to eat or full-up the tank.
