Berserker Guide (Cata 25 and Below) (2025)

Hey there! If you clicked on this thread, you're probably a Berserk and want to know about a good build for the class! I'll be talking about multiple set-ups in this guide, their pros, and their cons.
General Stuff:
Talismans:
From my personal testing, I've found that Strong on legendary, Forceful on Epic+Rare, Silky on Uncommon+Common seem to do pretty well, if you find better, let me know down in the comments Berserker Guide (Cata 25 and Below) (1)!
Ornate Zombie Sword: A must have for every class, as it provides emergency HP when you're low, great for all, and cheap
Aspect Of The End: Great for any class also, due to the teleportation ability. Low? Just teleport out and away from the room, requires no more than 2-3 teleports and then you can ornate and get back into the fight.(Or just blood lust/ life steal your way through, but if low, I recommend not trying to get a blood lust off to heal to full, better to just back out, heal, get back in. With experience you'll know when to keep fighting on blood lust healing, and when to back out and heal)
Healing Orbs:No duh, fighting a mini-boss? Throw it down. Low and waiting for ornate to recharge? Throw it down and you're good to go.
*Bonemerang: Bonemerang is a great utility for Berserk players, as it does great damage, medium range, and just helpful all around. See 3 skeleton masters in front of you? Throw it and all your worries are gone. Fighting blood? Get into the side corridors, throw it, watch them melt. Standing right at the door as it opens(Bad idea, but you forget to take a couple steps back in the heat of rushing blood, no worries)? Throw a bonemerang at the first mobs behind the door, and you're good to go to clear.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: BERSERK IS NOT A CHEAP CLASS TO PLAY, BY ALL MEANS. IT REQUIRES SOME OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE PETS, ARMORS, AND WEAPONS TO BE GOOD, SO IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY OR TIME TO COMMIT TO GRINDING, OR EARNING MONEY, YOUR BERSERK EXPERIENCE WILL PALE TO PLAYING A CHEAPER CLASS LIKE ARCHER, HEALER, MAGE(RIP TANK).

The Builds (Separated by Catacombs Levels):
General Things To Know:

I will be assuming all armor has regular HPB(No Fuming), and all swords have regular HPB(No Fuming). Additionally, all weapons and armors will assumed to be top quality (50/50), and will be on the currently highest available floor(Floor 4)

First Set Up (For those under Catacombs 14, no F4 Clear):
Armor: Full Adaptive(Will talk about later in guide), Frozen Blaze, Superior. Simple as that. All 3 of these are good and can clear F3, but aren't great for F4
Weapons: Honestly, you can use an adaptive blade if you want, but at this low level, you can also use AOTD, Midas, Yeti Sword, or Reaper Scythe if you have those.
Reforges: For armor, simply full fierce. Weapons will depends, if its an adaptive blade, just use spicy if you want. AOTD, Reaper Scythe, Yeti Sword is Fabled. Midas, go for Gilded if you have the kind of cash for it(But why are you reading a build if you got the cash for it, just ask some rich friends and they'll guide you through everything you need to know)
Pets: Legendary Ender Dragon, Legendary Blaze, Epic/Legendary Yeti, Epic/Legendary Tiger, Legendary Wither Skeleton (Lmk down in the comments other pets, these are just the most common I see used.)
Pros/Cons: None, just a standard set, not much to compare to.

Second Set Up(Catacombs 14+, no F4 Clear):
Armor: Full Knight Armor
Weapons: Knight Sword
Reforges: Full Fierce on armor, Spicy/Fabled on sword depending on your current financial situation.
Pets: Legendary Dragon, Legendary Blaze, Epic/Legendary Tiger, Legendary Wither Skeleton
Pros/Cons:Pros: You will be doing decent damage, have good defense and speed. Cons: Low HP(Skeleton Masters and Dreadlords will shred you, beware)

Third Set Up(Catacombs 14+, No F4 Clear):
Armor: Skeleton Master Helmet, Knight Chestplate, Knight Leggings, Skeleton Master Boots
Weapons: Same Weapons as First Set Up, Can also use Knight Sword.
Reforges: Full Fierce on armor, Spicy/Fabled depending on financial situation.
Pets: Legendary Dragon, Legendary Blaze, Epic/Legendary Yeti
Pros/Cons: Pros: Your damage output will be insane, as this is what I believe to currently be the best armor set-up for damage for below cata 26, your speed will also be great. Cons: Lower EHP, Lower Defense. Only use this set with the aforementioned pets, as each pet gives the EHP needed to run this set effectively, while not compromising on damage.

Fourth Set Up(Catacombs 16/20+, F4 Cleared):
Armor: Skeleton Master Helmet, Knight Chestplate, Knight Leggings, Skeleton Master Boots
Weapons: Spirit Sword/Hyper Cleaver/Silent Death
Reforges: Full Fierce on armor, Spicy/Fabled depending on financial situation.
Pets: Legendary Dragon, Legendary Blaze, Epic/Legendary Yeti
Pros/Cons: Same as Third Set Up, except you now are using either Spirit Sword(Best current Berserk weapon for under Cata 28, requires F4 Completion), Hyper Cleaver(Decent AOE), Silent Death(Damage is slightly worse than spirit sword, gain a fun ability of teleportation, Requires Cata 20 to use)

Fifth Set Up(Catacombs 16/20+, F4 Cleared):
Armor: Full Adaptive(Oh hey, its that armor set I said I would talk about)
Weapons: Spirit Sword/Hyper Cleaver/Silent Death
Reforges: Full Fierce on armor, Spicy/Fabled depending on financial situation.
Pets: Legendary Ender Dragon, Legendary Blaze, Epic/Legendary Yeti, Epic/Legendary Tiger, Legendary Wither Skeleton
Pros/Cons: Pros: Much more EHP than the aforementioned Second, Third, and Fourth Set Up. Cons: Way less damage, in f4 where its nots the mobs that are now the challenge, its that Gold Room Archaeologist with 400k hp, and you'll be hitting like a wet noodle with Adaptive, taking 20 years to kill it. Or, hey, you'll be smacking that spirit bear for 20 years while chickens come down and kill you because you couldn't kill it before the chickens spawned and now you gotta deal with both. Okay, okay, I hear you saying, "well being alive is better than being dead with your other sets you mentioned"~Some random angry forums person. Yes, that is true, but taking longer to clear rooms isnt helping either, where speed is key to levelling up faster, and unlocking better gear, while earning money from dungeons from boss rewards. Also, remember those healing orbs, ornate sword, blood lust, or life steal that more than helps cover up for the lack of EHP from the other damage sets, which, since you're doing more damage, you're healing more per click.

Well, thank you for reading if you've made it this far. If you have any suggestions/builds/tips, feel free to leave them down below and I will try to add them as I see fit, if they are actually going to be helpful to new berserks.(not just git gud and dont get hit-__-).
* = Not required, great to have.
EDIT:
For any F4 Cleared armor guide, you may replace boots with spirit boots, as they give good HP, Speed, and decent damage.

TLDR: Go read it, its a god damn class guide, covering what you need to know, summarizing is too hard.
