Haven't watched this yet, but curious what was the latest chapter adapted and how much there is to adapt.

It's rare for an adaptation to get 24 episodes from the get go nowadays and especially two of them back to back. If they're going to adapt this much in 1-2 years, seems likely they'll just finish adapting the rest.

I hear the manga is ending soon.

Was about to binge this, but thinking maybe I should wait for a season 3 announcement to keep it fresh in my mind.

Ok. Im curious about this so here goes some math effort and research findings based on a dirty quick look.

season 1 = 24 episodes = 90 chapters = 3.75 chapters/episode.
season 2 = 24 episodes = 84 chapters = 3.5 chapters/episode.

Less chapters adapted in S2, indicating that they slowed down the pacing of the adaptions.
Although for all we know each chapter might have more pages in s2 than s1, so this seems to be inconclusive evidence.
But it seems to support the general feel that the pacing has slowed down somewhat.

Source material is as of this published post, 258 chapters.

Chapters that has yet to be adapted appears to then be:
258 - 174 = 84

If we presume season 3 maintains the adaption pace of season 2, we just got enough material for a full 24 ep season 3.
If we presume pacing will pick up like season 1, we are 6 chapters away from a full season adaptation.

I think it is fairly safe to say that there will at least be a season 3, so binge watchers might want to hold on for a while longer.
According to a post from dailyresearchplot.com from 2 weeks ago, there is a pretty good speculation on release announcement to be somewhere this summer, and release date late 2021 or early 2022. Presuming everything works smoothly in the production line, which it might not due to this human malware pandemic we are currently dealing with.

If they keep publishing so we have more than 90 chapters, there is a possibility for a season 4. As of this post, the manga is still getting new chapters published.

But if @coolxal is correct and the manga is ending soon (but after 90 chapters), OVA/movie ending becomes a possibility as a replacement for season 4.

In response to Znote there are now 296 chapters of the manga and it seems like its coming to an end in 10 chapters or maybe even less but the end is definitely near (if it wont end after that it would just ruin the whole series) so i suppose if it wont be cancelled there will be a short season 4 too.

So season 3 is pretty much confirmed now.

If season 3 is going to finish the series, I think it's best to binge season 1 and season 2 just before season 3 releases. That's my plan now.

As of now the manga is wrapped up with 305 chapters and S3 is announced. And there are still 131 chapters left to adapt so a S4 can come depending on the popularity.

@thisiszihanbd So S3 is now confirmed to be the final season with 2 cours(first cour april 2025 and second cour january 2026) so the pacing will have to be insane in about 8 chapters per ep which is so stupid... why not splitting it to 3 cours? seems like the 3rd season will be a real "dumpster fire".
